CfiAgrotech 2023, will bring together for the first time in Chile, in one place all the actors of agricultural production, animal and food processing technologies, facilitating the productive chain and the flow of innovation. The fair seeks to connect suppliers of solutions based on technology and innovation for sustainability in Agri-Food, with professionals of the main producing companies at national level, promoting networking and activation of businesses that link the value chain of food production from Chile to the world. Paula Miranda, Manager of CfiAgrotech, explained that currently in Chile the fairs in this area are very dispersed and focused, focusing on specific topics, rather than chaining actors of the entire value chain, which is something that this fair seeks to change. “CfiAgrotech is proposed as a meeting point for open innovation, cutting-edge technologies available to agri-food producers, startups and companies seeking to position their technologies in the service of sustainably increasing food production globally. It is an opportunity for Chile to advance and exploit all its capacity at national and international level as a food power”, Paula explains. Regarding the importance of the fair, Miranda added that “this will be a place where all the actors will be able to coexist for three days, where the needs of producers will be brought together to improve their productivity in an efficient and sustainable way with the most innovative technologies and solutions in the world”. The fair will be divided into three pavilions: Pavilion 1 will be oriented to sustainable agricultural production, which will bring together everything related from soil preparation to harvest, such as: technologies and innovation in agricultural production; traceability, data science and IoT; ecological footprint and circularity; productive efficiency; health, prevention and control of diseases and pests; certifications and green financing. Pavilion 2 will feature everything focused on sustainable livestock production, i.e., all elements related to animal production up to slaughter. Among the topics that will be exhibited are: innovation technologies in livestock production; traceability, data science and IoT; ecological footprint and circularity; production efficiency; health, prevention and control of diseases and pests; certifications and green financing. Pavilion 3, which is directly related to the previous two, being the next step in production, is dedicated to food processing and value addition. Exhibitors here will present products and services such as: sustainable ingredients and raw materials; packaging and packaging technologies; labeling and trends; food safety and quality; food processing and transformation technologies; plant based proteins, biotechnology, biomaterials and food matrices. Along the same lines, Miranda explains why exhibitors should participate in this CfiAgrotech: “First of all, Chile is an agri-food power with great growth potential. Food production represents 18% of the national GDP, being for Chile the second most exported industry and products after copper according to information from Invest Chile. This makes the fair very attractive for national and international exhibitors to come and present their technologies”. “This fair will have 2,300 m2 of indoor and outdoor exhibition areas. To participate as exhibitor, sponsor and sponsor, in the different spaces, we invite the entire sector to write to info@cfiagrotech.cl, where we can provide details of the meeting. We look forward to seeing you”, concluded Miranda.
